Overview:
Have you ever made “a bad hire” resulting in costly employee turn-over? You may have asked yourself “how did that happen” or “how do I avoid making another bad hire”. One solution is to use behavioral-based interviewing to make sure you find the right person for the right job.
Interviewing is an important step in the employee selection process, with the ultimate goal to identify and select a candidate whose skill set, behaviors, and interests match the role and support the culture and mission of the organization.
Behavioral-based questions are built on the premise that the best predictor of a candidate’s future job performance is his or her past job behavior. By gaining insight into a candidate’s past experiences, you will develop a reliable indicator of how that individual most likely will perform in the future.
During this session you will:
- Identify the benefits of behavioral-based interviewing
- Clarify technical or soft skill requirements of the positions you are trying to fill
- Create more insightful questions to get in-depth answers
- Practice and respond to behavioral based-interview questions
