In the community of CHC’s there is often the situation where an individual is shifted from a Team Member, to a Team Manager. As you begin (or consider) your new role as a manager, it is important to realize you need to be ready for the shift in mindset, priorities, and expectations. This is essential not only for you to be successful as a manager, but also for success of your team members.
During this session, we will explore specific strategies for new and aspiring managers to expand beyond “what do I need to accomplish” to “how can our team be successful.”
This virtual session is intended to identify and practice methods to support:
- How to shift from personal relationships to professional ones
- How to establish expectations of your team and of yourself
- How to communicate before, during and after potentially challenging situations
