Director of Training & Education
In my role at CHCACT, I coach and support FQHC practices to achieve practice transformation and master the goals of the succeeding under a quality model of delivering patient care. I collaborate with clinical teams, operations teams and finance teams within the CT FQHCs to identify and improve clinical benchmarks, incorporate Quality Improvement strategies to improve quality and decrease cost.
I have been providing training and collaborating process improvement/QI initiatives with adult learning communities since 2005, most recently with an FQHC here in Connecticut, the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center. During my time at Cornell Scott, people often called me the “Entertrainer” because the sessions I developed and delivered to the employees were not just informative, but also entertaining and engaging.
I believe a trainer’s role is not only to educate the participants but also to engage and challenge them so they are inspired to find new ways to transform their practice from within. I have facilitated trainings, and process improvement initiatives across all types of practices including Health Centers, hospitals, universities and fire departments.
