Registered Nurse (RN), Adult Medicine

StayWell Health Center seeks:

• A positive, dedicated, caring, and motivated Registered Nurse that works quickly, efficiently and is able to multi-task well. This nurse should have good reasoning and decision-making skills.
• This nurse must be comfortable with direct patient care for a diverse adult population

• The successful candidate will be knowledgeable, dedicated, and detail-oriented

Examples of this nurse’s responsibilities include

• Supervision of medical support staff (LPN, MA)
• Obtain, verify, and record health histories of patients; collect specimens for laboratory analysis
• Document assessments, medications, and test results effectively within the EHR
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating health care provider advice / instruction
• Assistance with Infection Control practices may be needed

REQUIRED:

• Ability to work collaboratively with members of the care team
• Current, unrestricted State of Connecticut RN license and current CPR certification
• Current PPD testing result and immunizations
• Availability to work eight-hour shifts between the hours of 7:30AM and 8PM; occasional evening and Saturday hours
• This nurse will be required to float within the adult medical department.
• Travel to all StayWell sites in Waterbury and Naugatuck
• Consistent, reliable transportation required between StayWell sites throughout the Greater Waterbury area
• Bilingual skills in Spanish or Albanian are a plus
• Internal Medicine experience highly preferred
