Registered Nurse (Bilingual)

Overview:

Family Centers seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive professional nursing care to children and adolescent residents in an onsite medical clinic located in a pediatric residential facility.

The Role:

The Registered Nurse will utilize strong assessment and communication skills when providing care. Nursing responsibilities include promoting optimal health and preventative care to the pediatric population within the facility through comprehensive health assessments, health education, vaccine administration, point of care testing, and other responsibilities within scope of licensure including medical case management. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with the Medical Provider and the interdisciplinary program team members to ensure inclusive and holistic healthcare services. This is a flexible full time opportunity that will require some evenings and weekend hours.

Education and Experience:

Nursing degree from an accredited program
Current active license to practice in the State of Connecticut
Minimum of 2+ years related experience and/or training is preferred
Demonstrated aptitude in providing nursing services to under-served populations.
Experience in treating the Pediatric population is preferred
Excellent multitasker, leadership, and team oriented
Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
Infectious Control Certified a plus
