Registered Nurse
Overview:
Family Centers seeks an experienced bilingual Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive professional nursing care to UC residents in an outpatient medical clinic. Family Centers is a non-profit organization offering health care, education and human services to children, adults, and families living in Lower Fairfield County. More than 200 professionals and 2,500 volunteers collaborate to provide our communities with a wide range of responsive and innovative services.
The Role:
The Registered Nurse will utilize strong assessment skills and be responsible for, administering vaccines, screenings, and nursing responsibilities that include promoting optimal health and preventative care. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with the Medical Provider, UC program team members, be responsible for medication management and medical case management. This flexible full time opportunity that will require some evenings and weekend hours.
Education and Experience:
Nursing degree from an accredited program
Current active license to practice in the State of Connecticut
Minimum of 2+ years related experience and/or training is preferred
Demonstrated aptitude in providing nursing services to under-served populations.
Experience in treating the Pediatric population is preferred
Excellent multitasker, leadership, and team oriented
Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
Infectious Control Certified a plus
