Physician – MD/DO

Position Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Board-Certified Physician (MD/DO) to join the team at a PCMH-accredited 20+ year old Federally Qualified Health Center in East Hartford, Connecticut, serving 22,000 patients, primarily east of the CT River in the towns of East Hartford, Manchester, and Vernon.

Ideal MD/DO would have a strong drive to work with the underserved communities, be comfortable both practicing independently as well as part of a larger team, and have a desire to be a part of a growing team to innovate the care delivery model.

Details:

Full scope adult and pediatric primary care, including preventive visits, chronic care management,

Weeknight telephone call up to five weeknights a month, weekend call approximately one in every six weekends, and holiday call once a year

Strong collaboration with Physician Assistants and Advance Practice Registered Nurses

Malpractice coverage under Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA)

Eligible to apply for National Health Service Corps and Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Teaching and research opportunities through affiliated academic partners, including academic title and resources

Opportunity for leadership and committee involvement

Documentation in eClinical Works electronic health record

Billing submission at the time of office visit is expected
