Description
United Community & Family Services is looking for a Full Time Clinician to join our Mobile Crisis Intervention team in Plainfield! Our Mobile Crisis Team is a close-knit, fun-loving, supportive group of professionals who are passionate about their work. Mobile Crisis serves youth 17 years old and younger.
The Crisis Intervention Clinician is responsible for conducting crisis assessments and providing interventions in an effort to stabilize youth who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
•Perform emergency psychiatric assessments on children and youth in crisis who may be knownclients or new clients to the program and provide short term clinical and care coordinationfollow up for up to six weeks.
•Develop crisis plans and diversionary plans for children and youth who have been deemed not to need inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
•Work with local Emergency Departments to create and implement discharge plans for children who have stabilized from emergency department care.
•Provide client centered clinical assessment and treatment consistent with quality standards of care including evidence based practices that result in improved health outcomes for clients.
•Maintain documentation standards for all records required by agency licensees and payer sources such as DCF, DMHAS, CT-BHP, and Medicaid within a timely fashion.
•Participate in clinical supervision, and maintain open lines of communication with supervisor and support staff, and coordinate treatment with psychiatrists; work actively toward obtaining professional licensure
•Coordinate services with relevant providers involved in a given case within and outside of UCFS (e.g. school personnel, parents, police departments, DCF, courts, etc.) and supportcontinued collaboration with other providers.
This position is a great fit for both those therapists who are recently graduated looking for licensing supervision and licensed therapists who are looking for a more flexible schedule which may include nights and weekends.

Requirements
- Master’s degree (MA, MFT, LMSW) with License eligibility (LPC, LCSW or LMFT)
- One year of professional experience required
- Position requires reliable transportation and a valid driver license
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and suicide / homicide assessment, appropriate therapeutic levels of care, and community resources preferred.
- CPR certified or trained within 4 weeks of hire
