We are currently recruiting REGISTERED NURSES to work 3rd shift full-time for our Detox program. These individuals will:
- Provide triage service and admission for clients struggling with substance abuse issues
- Provide nursing care to assigned patients
- Evaluate care administered by para-professional and non-professional staff, and provide guidance and instruction to improve specific areas of care
- Assume leadership in developing methods to improve general standards of care
- Administer patient treatments and instruct other staff in performing treatments when indicated
Job Requirements
To be considered for this position, an applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Current Connecticut RN licensure
- Psychiatric and medical nursing experience
- Interest in working with clients struggling with substance abuse issues, within the scope of a short-term detoxification program
- Positive attitude, pleasant, cooperative, compassionate
- Reliability
- Ability to be assertive
- Ability to remain calm, productive and focused under stressful conditions
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with clients, families and fellow employees
- Strong judgment
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Strong, current computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
