HIV Prevention Specialist
Family Centers Inc., a private nonprofit organization seeks a motivated and passionate full time professional to join our team. The incumbent will provide HIV prevention services and be responsible for delivering targeted outreach in Stamford, CT that includes HIV testing, education and linkage to medical and other services.
Responsibilities include conducting confidential HIV testing and pre/post-test counseling, performing street and community prevention outreach and recruitment services to targeted populations and facilitating the link of individuals to partner services, medical case management, medical care, and prevention services.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, Associates preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest in HIV/AIDS and the Greater Stamford Community
- Bilingual
- Must have a reliable car, valid driver’s license and up-to-date auto insurance
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
