General Dentist

If you are a Dentist with a passion to provide top care dental services and oral health care to the underserved population, then look no more! As a Dentist in our organization, you will be responsible to provide care for patients, scheduled and non-scheduled during assigned health care sessions.

Clinical Duties:

o   Diagnostic/Basic Preventive Care

o   Restorative (amalgams, resins, crowns)

o   Endodontic(root canals 1-4)

o   Periodontics

o   Gingivectomy

o   Prosthodontics (removable) (dentures, partials, plates)

o   Limited oral surgery to include:

• Extractions
• Removal of Impacted Teeth
• I&D of Abcess
• Frenectomy
• Suture Removal
• Palliative Treatment

Requirements

• Current Dental License in the State of Connecticut
• A DEA certificate
• Experience patient care management
• Experience general dentist with adult, adolescent and pediatrics

Administrative Duties

• Provides night and weekend coverage in rotation with other dentists
• Maintains accurate legible medical records and returns all assigned charts or patient data (labs, reports, forms) to Medical Records in a timely fashion (i.e., charts returned before clinics begin the following day and other data within two days)
• Presents reports on health and quality assurance matters to the Dental Director
• Works as a team member with fellow staff to assure quality patient care and efficient patient handling
• Responsible for CPT and ICD-9 Coding in a timely fashion
• Provides input in the selection of key dental personnel
• Advises on information system needs; develop, recommend, and conduct special studies of operations
• Interprets clinical data
