Job purpose
Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Affairs, the Clinical Director of Digital Health will plan, organize, develop, and coordinate all aspects of the strategic development and implementation of FHCHC digital health programing (including, but not limited to, telemedicine, mobile health, and remote patient monitoring). The position will oversee clinical aspects of integration, implementation and prioritization of projects that promote the visibility, utilization and value of digital health to the organization.
Duties and responsibilities
“Digital health” represents a menu of strategies that use technology to improve health care outcomes, communication, and experiences. Working in a highly matrixed and project based environment, the Clinical Director of Digital Health is responsible for defining and articulating the strategy and direction of digital health programing in the organization. The position will be responsible for building and overseeing clinical operations and performance while providing medical oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of affordable quality healthcare services.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
Lead and implement the clinical direction for telemedicine for the organization with attention to all clinical service lines: medical, behavioral health, and dental. Keep abreast of emerging models in health care delivery; identify and define new and innovative strategies to achieve goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities to collaborate and develop clinical integration opportunities with all lines of service
Set comprehensive goals and establish goals for performance and growth
Deliver patient care for an agreed upon amount of sessions per week, if applicable
Work closely with IT to manage relationships with partners/vendors Manage administrative responsibilities such as personnel management by monitoring clinical performance, establishing performance objectives, innovating around program design, evaluating productivity benchmarks, and compliance measures Provide direct clinical primary care services 60% of the time, allowing 40% of the time to complete the above duties.
Qualifications
Clinical degree (MD, APRN, PA) with an advance knowledge and expertise in telemedicine platforms and digital health strategies.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to support multiple facilities
Demonstrated ability to lead by influence. A patient-centered approach, from bedside manner to design of new initiatives is also required.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, staff, peer groups, and varied agency and institutional representatives
Ability to lead, be decisive, and lay out a vision for the departments
Ability to communicate vision, motivate workforce and create effective teams
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work in fast-changing environment with diverse individuals and groups
