Director of Quality & Safety – Full Time, 40 hours

The Director of Quality and Safety in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and medical leadership will strive to improve the quality culture with respect to the service user and caregiver experience, the effectiveness and safety of the services provided in order to achieve our vision and quality measures in order to position CHWC for alternative payment models.

Will provide professional and strategic leadership for all professions including medical staff, nursing, social work, allied health professionals, psychiatry and dental staff. Expected to ensure that these professional groups, as organizational stakeholders, have a voice at all levels as appropriate in decision-making.

Will take the lead on the organization’s risk management agenda, including patient safety, ensuring that there are appropriately robust measures to ensure that risks at all levels across the organization are appropriately managed and that the Board is provided with appropriate data for analysis and input.

Required Education and Experience:

Master’s prepared Registered Nurse

MBA or LEAN Six Sigma Training Preferred

At least 3-5 years of work experience in quality and safety

Knowledge of implementing processes leading to a High Reliability Culture

Minimum of two years in a leadership/management position

Experience overseeing quality improvement facilitation initiatives that are collaborative, results-oriented and data-driven required.

Experience working with centers for excellence and disease specific programs highly preferred.

Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to staff on how to facilitate improvement using the NCQA and other organizational quality framework
