COVID Testing Nurse – TEMP

(Part-time OR Full-time TEMP Positions– 8 to 40 hours/week)

Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam.  Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers.

LOCATIONS: COVID-19 testing is conducted at the Generations sites in Willimantic, Danielson and Putnam, but our community pop up testing sites could also be anywhere in the service area our health centers serve (Willimantic, Norwich, Putnam & Killingly areas)

QUALIFICATIONS:  Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with current CT license.  Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred in areas of Willimantic/Norwich testing.  Typing and computer skills essential.  Experience in a primary care setting or COVID response a plus.

JOB SUMMARY: The COVID Testing Nurse will assist in the organization’s effort to provide COVID testing at our office locations and in community settings.  This individual will collaborate with our existing team to facilitate high quality, best practice COVID testing according to company policy and procedure.  The role will require a high degree of comfort and confidence dealing with the public, and will include hands-on care for individuals seeking testing for COVID-19.  Additional responsibilities will include charting of tests performed, communication of positive results to patients by phone along with care instructions, and answering COVID test related questions from members of the community. This role may also include administration and documentation of the COVID Vaccine.

Rate of Pay:  LPN – $20.00/hour,  RN – $28.00/hour
