Eligibility and Financial Assistance Specialist

Community Health and Wellness Center is Looking for an Eligibility and Financial Assistance Specialist to join our staff to better understand the financial component to their healthcare.   The Eligibility and Financial Assistance Specialist is responsible for providing guidance and assistance with the insurance application process, reviewing eligibility and enrolling individuals in insurance.

Essential Job Duties:

-Required to screen and process all new and review existing uninsured patient information to determine if patient can submit information to complete State Medical application, or enroll in health insurance exchange. Must be able to undergo all required training on Medicaid, CHIP, health insurance exchange and be able to explain the programs and application process to individuals seeking coverage and successfully process the applications. (CAC Certified). Must be able to review required documents regarding household size and income, to properly process financial assistance applications. Assist potentially eligible clients with completing and submitting their enrollment materials. Follow up on individual applications as needed. Familiarity with local/regional/state and federal health and human service resources. Maintain HIPAA guidelines and adhere to CHWCGT policies and procedures. Track statistical information needed for each client and report information as required. Provide culturally competent delivery of services, including language interpretation.
