CHWC is currently seeking two full time Family Nurse Practitioners (APRN) to work in the community, both at local schools and on the mobile van.

Our amazing staff includes Physicians, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Case Managers, Social Workers, and Medical Assistants working in collaboration in providing quality integrative patient-centered care.

Community Health and Wellness Center of Greater Torrington (CHWC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing comprehensive Primary Health Care, Dental Care, and Behavioral Health to the under-served population in the Northwest Hills of Connecticut. We are a National Health Service Corps approved loan repayment site. Through NHSC licensed health care providers may earn up to $50,000 toward student loans in exchange for a two-year commitment through the NHSC Loan Repayment Program (NHSC LRP). Accepted participants must find a position at an NHSC-approved site and fulfill a 2-year commitment.

Required Qualifications:

•Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program

•Master’s degree from an Accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner Program

•Board Eligible/ Board Certified for ANP or FNP

•Current APRN license from State of Connecticut

•Current Federal and CT state Controlled Substance Licenses

•Certification in CPR

•Proficient in computer skills (Electronic Medical Records)

•Bilingual preferred but not required

•Prefer 1-2 years clinical experience
