CHCACT is committed to supporting the CT FQHCs with the upcoming transition to ICD-10. In addition to the other training/technical assistance services being provided, CHCACT will update this webpage regularly with information, training opportunities, and other resources as they become available.
About ICD-10
As of October 1, 2015, everyone that is covered by the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) will be required to transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10. It is critical to the financial sustainability of each practice to understand and effectively use the ICD-10 coding classification. This change will not affect CPT coding for outpatient and physician services.
