October 10, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Infection control and prevention are essential components for dental clinics. Infection control and sterilization of equipment are high clinical risk areas in all healthcare organizations, but particularly in health centers and free clinics that provide oral health. This webinar will review infection control and prevention protocols for dental programs in community health centers and recommendations to be compliant with accreditation standards. One (1) Continuing Dental Education (CDE) credit will be offered.
Objectives:
1. Define infection and prevention control (IPC)
2. Identify common IPC risks involved in the practice of oral health care.
3. Discuss ways to prevent common IPC risks.
