Project ECHO Chronic Pain and Addictions
April 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
This first and third Friday of every month CHCACT holds a Project ECHO Clinic. Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) was developed by the University of New Mexico to link expert specialist teams at a “hub” with primary care clinicians in local communities, or “spokes.” These primary care clinicians become part of a learning community, where they receive mentoring and feedback from specialists. Together, they manage patient cases so that patients get the care they need.
CHCACT’s Project ECHO focuses on chronic pain and addictions. Each session features a 15 – 20 minute didactic presentation from one of CHCACT’s specialists at UConn as well as a case presentation from one of the spokes, or health centers. Each session is held via Zoom, a video conferencing platform.
