Lung Force Expo
May 24, 2017
Every 5 minutes, a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with lung cancer. And more than 33 million Americans suffer from lung disease.
Patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals are invited to join the American Lung Association to learn about the latest in treatments, medications, resources and research to help those living with lung cancer and other lung diseases lead healthier, active lives.
Sheraton Hartford South is located off of I-91. Take exit 23 from the North and Exit 23 from the South.
As a result of participation in the LUNG FORCE Expo, healthcare professionals and patient/caregiver attendees will receive education and resources about lung disease management that will enable them to:
Identify the course of lung disease from the initial diagnosis through treatment, outcome, therapies and emotional support.
Increase knowledge of lung disease assessment, diagnosis and personalized treatment options.
Demonstrate the value of clinical trials.
Increase referral for early detection and understanding of lung disease risk.
Improve patients’ and caregivers’ sense of self-confidence, well-being and ability to cope with the condition.
Increase awareness of available American Lung Association resources, e.g. Facing Lung Cancer, Lung HelpLine, Better Breathers Clubs, Freedom From Smoking® and LUNG FORCE.
Learn about community and local resources via exhibitors and community partnerships.
Participants with special need requests should contact Elizabeth Hitzel at Elizabeth.Hitzel@Lung.org or call 860-838-4375. We are here to make sure you are safe and comfortable.
We are pleased to provide healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers with the opportunity to connect with companies that have respiratory products and agencies that provide key services. Be sure to take advantage of the exhibit times built into the schedule.
Supplemental oxygen will be available for emergency use only.
