LGBTQ Behavioral Health for the LGBTQ Population

Dr Alex Keuroghlian, MD, MPH Director of Education and Training Programs
Dr. Keuroghlian received his medical degree and Masters in Neurosciences from the Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at the MGH/McLean Hospital training program, where he also served as Chief Resident in Public and Community Psychiatry. Dr. Keuroghlian was awarded the annual HMS Primary Clinical Experience Teaching Award by Harvard medical students. For two years he was a Partners Healthcare Kraft Fellow in Community Health Leadership based at Fenway Health and completed a Master of Public Health (Health Policy and Management) at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
At Fenway, Dr. Keuroghlian also works as a clinical psychiatrist within the Behavioral Health Department and undertakes research at The Fenway Institute. He has authored over 25 research articles, review articles, and book chapters on topics that include gender-affirming hormone therapy and surgery, HIV medication adherence, post-traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorders among transgender adults, caring for LGBT immigrants, and homelessness among LGBT youth.
