Celebrating its seventh anniversary, CHA will host Improving Health Equity: Bias and the Impact on Disparities in Health Outcomes, an inspiring and informative health equity symposium focused on bias and its impact on disparities in health outcomes. This year’s symposium features a keynote by David R. Williams, PhD, the Florence Sprague Norman and Laura Smart Norman Professor of Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Professor of African and African American Studies and Sociology at Harvard University. Dr. Williams served on the faculty of Yale University for six years and 14 at the University of Michigan. He holds an MPH from Loma Linda University and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
