Health centers aim for boost in state funding as Medicaid cuts loom

Some health centers are scaling back services and bracing for more cuts as President Trump eyes reductions in federal Medicaid funding. Now the centers are taking on the state’s Department of Social Services, claiming that the formula used by the agency for reimbursements has left them with mounting losses. A group representing the centers filed a petition Tuesday with the agency in anticipation of a future lawsuit.
