Announcement of Appointment of Interim CEO
After a career spanning over 45 years in the Connecticut healthcare landscape, Ken Lalime will be retiring from his position as the Chief Executive Officer of the Community Health Center Association of Connecticut (CHCACT) effective November 4TH 2022. Ken has held numerous and diverse leadership positions within healthcare including but not limited to pharmacy ownership, hospital administration, healthcare consulting, provider networks and payer settings. Ken has also served on multiple task forces, statewide committees and numerous boards and community organizations. His passion and advocacy for primary care is well established.
The Board of Directors extends its best wishes and gratitude to Ken Lalime for his years of service and dedication to all the community health center patients and the residents of the state of Connecticut.
CHCACT is pleased to announce that Katherine Yacavone has been named CHCACT’s new Interim Chief Executive Officer until such time as a permanent CEO is identified.
Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position. She has worked in various capacities within Connecticut’s health centers including as CEO of Southwest Community Health Center. She combines extensive community health expertise and a commitment to CHCACT’s mission to advance and align the work of health centers with stakeholders, to improve the health and wellness of underserved communities throughout Connecticut. Her thorough understanding of the needs and obstacles faced by our health centers along with her proven ability to connect with stakeholders throughout the state make her an ideal fit to lead the Association at this time.
