CHCACT participates in and administers a variety of programs that focus on improving the oral health of Connecticut residents.
Dental Leaders' Group:
CHCACT hosts a dental leaders' group, comprising dental directors and other dental leaders from Connecticut's health centers. The group meets several times each year to discuss hot topics and share best practices, including around the integration of oral health into medical and behavioral health care.
National Oral Health Innovation & Integration Network:
CHCACT receives funding from the DentaQuest Foundation to participate in the National Oral Health Innovation and Integration Network (NOHIIN). NOHIIN comprises representatives from CHCACT and 35 sister organizations across the country, who have formed a learning community to share best practices around improving access to oral health care for low-income populations, improving oral health integration in health centers and improving oral health outcomes.
CT Coalition for Oral Health:
CHCACT participates in this statewide coalition of oral health providers, organizations and advocates to help advance the oral health of CT residents. The CT Coalition for Oral Health (CTCOH) promotes good oral health policy, including advocating for oral health coverage in HUSKY/Medicaid, continued fluoridation of water systems and efforts to ensure a strong oral health workforce.
