The President’s fiscal year (FY) 2021 Budget includes $5.7 billion for health centers, including $4 billion in mandatory resources, to continue providing services to nearly 30 million patients at approximately 13,000 health center service delivery sites in medically underserved communities throughout the country.
HRSA has issued application guidance for FY 2021 Health Center Program continuation awards and is in the process of reviewing applications. Congress recently passed and the President signed continuing resolution H.R. 8337, which provides a portion of the anticipated Health Center Program discretionary and mandatory funding through December 11, 2020.
At this time, HRSA anticipates providing partial FY 2021 continuation funding to health centers based on the available FY 2021 funding.
