This week, celebrated every year, honors the patients, staff and board members of America’s health centers. This year’s theme – Celebrating Health Centers: Home of America’s Health Care Heroes – celebrates the individuals who live and breathe the health center mission and exceed the call of duty, to support health centers in providing quality health care for patients in the community.

Here in CT, National Health Center Week includes health fairs, block parties, business after-hours events, fundraisers and more! Health center leaders will be appearing on radio and TV shows throughout the week, and Op-Eds are being published in local and statewide newspapers. All of the media is to spread the word about the great health care and other services provided by health centers in CT!

Thank you to all of you who espouse the health center mission to provide the highest quality care to all who need it – regardless of age, income, insurance status, immigration status or ability to pay. Health centers and their staff and boards are truly Health Care Heroes!
