Hosted by the Corporation for Supportive Housing, a HRSA-funded NCA
Youth experiencing homelessness face a unique set of health and housing challenges. In particular, this group faces significant health disparities, higher rates of mental health and substance use conditions, but are at risk of underutilizing services and care. LGBTQ youth are at even higher risk for mental health and substance use conditions, and make up a disproportionate amount of the population of youth experiencing homelessness at 40%. This webinar will explore the needs of youth experiencing homelessness with an emphasis on LGBTQ youth, best practices in providing care, and the intersection of behavioral health for this vulnerable population.
