Federal Funding Academy
A two-day, comprehensive face-to-face training on federal grants
October 11 & 12, 2017
Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP (“FTLF”) has provided counsel and advice to federal grant recipients for over thirty years, aiding recipients in all manner of grant law matters, including but not limited to: operationalizing the federal grant requirements, drafting and implementing policies and procedures, structuring subaward relationships, navigating complex cost allocation matters, managing federal interest claims, and, of course, litigating and otherwise resolving disallowances and other enforcement actions.
With the promulgation of the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (“Uniform Guidance”) FTLF has assisted its clients and others with a comprehensive training program designed to (i) reinforce and enhance grantee skills related to long existing requirements, and (ii) update those skills to adapt to changes.
This comprehensive two-day overview of the federal grants system, covers everything from the legal underpinnings of the system, through procurement and subaward requirements, cost issues, and audit resolution. Though structured as a an overview of the grants system, attorneys Ted Waters and Scott Sheffler dive deeply into the material, making it an ideal course for those with intermediate levels of expertise, while remaining suitable and highly effective for newcomers to federal grants.
FTLF’s federal grants training is unlike any other federal grants training available. Not only is it taught by attorneys that have shaped the regulations, but Ted Waters and Scott Sheffler are accessible throughout the two days for discussions of advanced issues specific to your organization. This accessibility makes the training an excellent opportunity for you and your whole grants management team to have your questions answered and directly apply what you are learning during the sessions.
