Clinical Excellence
Summary of the CIC
The Clinical Excellence Program of the Community Health Center
Association of Connecticut (CHCACT) provides technical assistance
to Connecticut community health centers (CHCs) with the goal of
ensuring access, quality, and continuity of health care in order
to improve the health status of the community served by the CHCs.
CHCACT’s Clinical Excellence Program is advised by the
Clinical Issues Committee (CIC). The CIC is represented by a
clinical leader from each CHC in the state and meets bi-monthly.
Vision of the CIC
To provide quality: Clinicians want access to the latest research
information and tools in order to improve quality of care.
To collaborate with a network of peers: Clinicians want a peer
network where they can share best practices, receive advice, and ask questions.
To encourage communication with all community health centers in Connecticut:
Clinicians want a network within which they can share and receive the most current
clinical information.
