Medicaid Outreach Program
Through a grant with the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services, there are Outreach Eligibility Workers (OEWs) at each Community Health Center in the state during traditional 8:30am and 5pm business hours .The goal of these OEWs is to identify eligible families with children and get them enrolled in the CT's Medicaid and CHIP Programs better known as the HUSKY program. OEWs also provide referrals to other services a client may need, like food or housing assistance.
