Clinical Issues Committee
CHCACT’s Clinical program is advised by the Clinical Issues Committee (CIC), a standing committee of the CHCACT Board of Directors. The CIC is represented by a clinical leader from each community health center in the state and meets bi-monthly. Community health center clinicians work together with CHCACT staff to achieve a common vision to provide quality care, to collaborate with a network of peers and to encourage communication with all community health centers in Connecticut.
CIC Goals
- To share and develop tools, methods, practices, and resources and identify benchmarks and guidelines that help community health center clinicians provide quality care to their patients.
- To create a vehicle for education and communication.
- To support the concept and development of community-based health care as a unique clinical discipline.
- To advocate for underserved persons.
- Share resources and information about state activities, and identify problems and community needs.
