Get Help, Get Healthy, Get Healthcare

Federal fiscal year (FFY) 2013, providing an additional $35 billion in federal funds to enable States to maintain their current CHIP programs and increase enrollment in Medicaid and CHIP.

Through funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services there are outstationed Community Health Outreach Workers (CHOWS) and Community Data Enrollment Workers (CDEWS) at nine FQHCs across the state. The CHOWS and CDEWS are available in the communities of the health centers during the evenings and weekends in non-traditional settings to increase enrollment and retention of children 0-19 under 200% of FPL in Connecticut's Medicaid and CHIP programs better known as HUSKY. Let them help you to enroll! Click here for a list of workers near you or Go to your local Community Health Center and sign up for HUSKY!
